All-Terrain Explorer

From the roughest singletrack to urban blacktop, the MX-9 Adventure Mips gets you there safely in style. We've taken our MX-9 and added even more capability with an integrated anti-fog, anti-scratch clear faceshield. The shield flips up and leaves enough room for goggles in extreme conditions, or it can be removed completely. Conversely, the adjustable visor can be removed for a stealth street look. Mips protection, Velocity Flow ventilation, and a removable, washable, anti-microbial liner round out a highly adaptable package. *The Marauder Blackout colorway ships with a second dark smoke shield. Availability, certification, color, and pricing may vary per region. If outside of the USA, please check with your authorized local dealer for more information.

Bell MX9 MIPS Adventure
So far I like the helmet. I do find it a bit on the noisier side compared to my previous (and much cheaper) helmet of a different brand. One aspect I haven't gotten used to yet (I just started using it this season for a few rides so far) is that the wind really comes up in the helmet. It ships with no chin curtain. In addition to being uncomfortable (it is still just around 7-8 degrees celsius here, ~45 farenheit, so the cold wind is unpleasant) I believe this also contributes to how noisy the helmet is. There doesn't seem to be any chin curtains available for this particular helmet model. I did end up ordering the breath box and will likely cut it up to just use the chin curtain aspect and see if that makes a difference.
