Tyler Heuertz wins Bell’s Brawl at the Buffalo

First of its kind V-Twin Stunt Contest

Whether you’re bombing a bike park, slaying singletrack or just heading out for a weekend ride, our all-new dirt line of purpose-built MTB helmets offer more versatility, more comfort and better protection than ever before.

After a significant weather hold, Arizona’s Tyler Heuertz, better known by his social media handle, @TallBoyyTee, rode away victorious at Bell’s “Brawl at the Buffalo” staged at the Legendary Buffalo Chip for the 77th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Connecticut rider, Gabe Canestri (@Reckless_203) placed in second, and Dom Parillo (@Dom_829), also of Arizona, took the third place position to round out the podium.

Bell Powersports rider, Tyler Heuertz took top honors with his smooth, crowd-pleasing riding style, controlled drifting, and long laid-out wheelies with hand drag on his Harley-Davidson Dyna equipped without a stunting handbrake that wowed the judges.

Over 60 years ago Bell Helmets was born in a garage on the spirit of boundary breakers, limit pushers, and risk takers. Today we exemplified that core belief still rings true when we brought this first of its kind event to the people. Everyone had a blast showing that they’ve pushed themselves to be able to achieve on their bikes. We couldn’t be more proud of the outcome.
Brett Conley, Bell Helmets Brand Marketing Manager/Culture

“It was amazing to see all these talented riders from coast to coast all in once place, especially at Sturgis,” continued Max Kuszaj of Ride and Destroy.com. “The judges had their work cut out for them, but to see the top three riders rewarded makes a huge statement for what is happening in the Harley stunt scene right now. Tyler (Heuertz) has been working so hard and it was inspiring to see him take the top honors at the Buffalo Chip.”

The “Brawl at the Buffalo” was a first of its kind V-Twin specific motorcycle stunt contest catering to the huge youth movement of Harley-Davidson stunt riding. The event was open to 20 highly talented male and female stunt riders who recently have been the driving force in the increasingly popular V-Twin motorcycle stunting demographic. A judging panel of motorcycle industry icons including Carey Hart and Leticia Cline were in attendance to score these competitive riders.

Tyler Heuertz added “On top of being a legendary contest, it was a reason for everyone across the map to connect. East coast to west coast, even Australia, we all got to throw down in each other’s company. Something that doesn’t happen often.”

I look forward to what lies in the future for the sport and events like these, especially when brands like Bell Helmets and Ride and Destroy.com can bring opportunities, like the one in Sturgis, to all these riders. The future looks very bright for VTwin stunt riding.
