A challenging start to the Detroit SX for Eli Tomac. Qualifying revealed a highly competitive group as 12 riders were all within .8 sec of each other. Heading into the Heat Eli had some bad luck as he did not transfer out of the heat to the Main. No problem, Eli easily wins Semi 2. Without an optimal gate pick Eli still managed a 2nd place start behind competitor Marvin Musquin. It didn’t take long for the #3 machine to make the pass on the French rider. It was smooth sailing from there as Eli took his 4th win in a row Supercross with good margin! That’s his 7th this season, which puts Eli just 7 points down on the multi time champion Ryan Dungey. With 5 rounds remaining, Eli is in a great position for a Championship!
