Madison Saracen

Stomping Grounds: United Kingdom
Downhill

Launched in February 2011, the Madison Saracen downhill team is a race team that is focused on nurturing young UK talent into the World Cup stars of tomorrow. With a group of 6 riders spanning Youth, Junior, Senior and Elite categories, the team has had an astounding two years on the race circuit and has quickly established itself as one of the top teams on the national and international race circuits. Since its inception the team has notched up some impressive accolades, including a Junior World Cup and World Championship title, a Bronze Elite World Championships Medal, two British Downhill Series winners, an English National Champion as well as multiple Elite World Cup podiums.

The 2012 season saw a new addition to the team, with  ex-World Cup racer and British Cycling Gravity coach Will Longden managing the squad and providing the team with dedicated training regimes, nutritional arrangements and sports psychology. 2013 will see the Madison Saracen team with an even greater presence at World Cup races, with the dedicated team infrastructure established in 2012 continuing in order to get the most out of this talented group for young riders.
