Reviews
I've ridden hundereds of thousands of miles from no helmet to full face. The REVOLVER EVO is no louder than anything else I've ridden. The field of view is great. The windshield and tinted flip down visor have excellent optics and with the breath cup and nose piece removed for summer riding, that little catch as you lift the face up is gone. I love the helmet! Peeking around the inside, it looks like there are reliefs for some speakers above the cheek pads. Perfect! Especially for trips of a few hours! It's the best price for the quality of any modular helmet that I've seen or used yet, this being my 3rd modular. Price is the last thing I look at when I'm saving my melon. How BELL gave us such a helmet for this price is a great value! Thank you BELL... again!!!
The Revolver is my second modular helmet purchase. I bought the Revolver to replace an HJC modular that was unstable, and allowed cold air, and bugs under the chin bar. Nothing like a bee between your face and face shield at highway speed!
The Revolver arrived on time. My first impression of the helmet out of the box was quality. Everything from the operation of the sun shield, vents, and flip up face was smooth and had a quality feel.
On my first ride wearing the Revolver I was very pleased with how stable the helmet is at highway speed. No more buffeting as I had experienced with the HJC. The anti fog coating on the face shield works as advertised. I had no issues with fogging even when waiting at traffic lights with the shield closed. The only negative thing I have to say about the Revolver EVO is the helmet is very loud. The wind noise from the bottom of the helmet is awful. If I pull my shoulders up where they touch the bottom of the helmet it solves the problem. Whisper quiet but is not a comfortable or sustainable position. I use ear plugs with this helmet as the wind noise is so bad. I hope Bell takes another look at the design on the bottom of this helmet. Even with the wind noise I am pleased overall with the Revolver. The helmet is light weight, stable, and has quality features. Just needs a little more attention to the wind noise issue.
