TAG Fit System
Bell’s next-generation Twin Axis Gear™ (TAG) fit system adjusts to the head on two axes—circumferentially as standard fit systems do, but also horizontally to better accommodate differences in the up/down position of the occipital lobe.
Channeled Ventilation
Specially designed ventilation channels on the interior of the helmet's liner brings cool air in through the front, passes it over the head and flushes warm air out of the rear ports.
VPV Adjustable Visor
Bell’s top-of-the-line Variable Position Visor allows for 15 degrees of horizontal adjustment by using an imbedded clutch mechanism that holds the visor firmly at the desired angle. Changing the VPV’s angle just takes a simple up or down tug.

Had a bike accident 3 days ago. I was drinking water at 17 MPH and hit a large frost heave in the road, which I didn't see. Within a micro-second I knew that a crash was unavoidable. Basically, I went over the handle bars, landed on my head first, then my face. By the look of my face, the ER doc was amazed that I didn't have a head injury. This helmet did its job and what's more, it stayed in place as I hit and slid. I did not black out and I remember thinking, when my head hit, that I knew I'd be fine. I could feel the helmet work and absorb the impact.
I'm sticking with Bell. It's a great product! Next time I'm thirsty, I'm stopping!
Over the past eight years I've owned two Sweep helmets and will buy my third today. The first one cracked (as it should have) when I went down really hard on a road ride. I would have had a skull fracture if it were not for a helmet. The second I was hit by a drunk driver head-on at 30mph, when he swerved across the road. It catapulted my off my bike head first. The helmet and bike are smashed but my head is fine. Good Job Bell! You've quit possible saved my life twice.
I have owned four sweep helmets. One of them was involved in an accident and provided great protection. I tried another helmet by a well-known manufacturer and it didn't even come close to the comfort and ease of fit of the Bell Sweep. I returned the other helmet and bought another Sweep.
I raced and rode this helmet for about 2 years and loved it.
I love the great ventilation this helmet provides, especially during the hot summer months of the Rocky Mtn area. Their color scheme matched my local race team kit perfectly too :)
Also, I got hit by a car going about 25 mph (blindsided by 16 yr old texting while driving, fresh out of drivers ed...) and about the only thing intact after the ordeal was my head. The only reason I'm typing this review now is because of this helmet.

I received the Bell Sweep as a Christmas present 12 months ago. It is very well made, looks smart, has nice detailing, and the helmet can be adjusted to fit very comfortably. The adjustable height for the straps on the back of the head mean the helmet is very secure and feels comfortable while riding (it will not move around on your head if fitted properly - which is not difficult).
Most importantly, and what has prompted me to write this review, it is incredibly safe! I was hit by a car while riding over +25mph. The helmet took a serious battering but I came out entirely unscathed. The way it stood up to such an impact is extremely impressive. The straps which I had previously appreciated for their comfort were crucial to the helmet staying in one place upon impact. I am sure that with an inferior fit as you find with many other brands, I would not have been provided with adequate protection.
Needless to say I am now the proud owner of another Sweep helmet and am satisfied and confident in its ability to do what it was made for!
I cannot recommend this product enough!
