Mat Rebeaud

DOB: 7/29/1982
Stomping Grounds: Payerene, Switzerland
Swiss Showman

Born into a motocross family, Swiss freestyle motocross rider Mat Rebeaud was only four years old when he rode his first dirt bike. His grandfather and father raced in the 1950s, and Mat started racing professionally in 2002 at age 20. While he excelled at racing, the Swiss daredevil preferred the thrill of dirt hits and big ramps over sheer speed. After winning the Freestyle International Motocross (FIM) World Championship in 2006, Mat made the official transition to freestyle competition. Since then, he’s hit the podium at dozens of FMX events in Europe and across the globe from the X Games to the Red Bull X-Fighters Series and more. More than boasting a full list of podium spots, Mat is a crowd favorite in Europe and everywhere he goes. While he is a seasoned rider compared to most of the young riders on tour, Mat continues to compete at events and demos across the globe, wooing spectators, and pushing the sport he loves most to new levels everywhere he goes.
