No one in the history of BMX has dominated BMX contests like Jamie Bestwick has on the vert ramp for the last ten years. His accolades include six X Games gold medals, seven Dew Tour titles and dozens of individual contest wins. When people say Jamie is “on another level,” they mean it in the literal sense. Bestwick boosts higher airs than anyone on the planet. At 41 years of age, the UK native who lives and trains in Pennsylvania, is living proof that age really is just a number. While the sport has changed over the years, Bestwick has managed to stay on top. “Trends come and go, attitudes change like the direction of the wind, but my love for my bike never will. I am so stoked that my love for my bike kept me here for all these years. It’s hard to imagine that the power of dreams and the willingness to take a chance has taken me further than I ever imagined.” When he’s not riding his BMX bike, Jamie is usually doing other “Bell stuff”—driving race cars, riding a road bike, or hitting the track on his street motorcycle.
