TAG Fit System
Bell’s next-generation Twin Axis Gear™ (TAG) fit system adjusts to the head on two axes—circumferentially as standard fit systems do, but also horizontally to better accommodate differences in the up/down position of the occipital lobe.
Specially designed ventilation channels on the interior of the helmet's liner brings cool air in through the front, passes it over the head and flushes warm air out of the rear ports.
I bought this helmet after my Giro was stolen and found that it fit my head much better. I would buy a second one if they would offer other colors.
I bought this helmet at my local Mont-bell here in Japan and was shocked that I paid 12,800 yen ($134) for a helmet. Last weekend I washed out on my road bike at over 35mph in the mountains, hit a guardrail and landed 20-25 feet below in a concrete ravine on the back of my head. I cracked the foam from top to bottom every piece, but I got up and limped away. Quality product!! I'm ordering another one now from the web site.
Bought this helmet to replace a Sweep that was getting pretty long in the tooth. Just as comfortable, not noticeably heavier or noisier, looks better. $40 cheaper. All good!
Bought this two years ago and still looks brand new.
I was shopping for another brand and came across the Bell Array next rack. Good thing because it perfectly fits my skull! I look forward to replace it with a new one next year and fortunately, the 2012 Array are spec'd lighter than my actual 2010 helmet. The bad note in this review, I paid more than the announced price on this site.
